Eugene Robertson 1928 - 2014 Former Franklin resident, Eugene Robertson passed away at his daughter's home in New Franklin December 8, 2014. He was 86 years of age. William Eugene Robertson was born July 6, 1928 in the Richland Community South of Glasgow to Bernice and Betty (Chipley) Robertson. He graduated from Glasgow High School in 1947. He married Sarah Elizabeth Boggs July 27, 1953 and she preceded him in death June 5, 2002. Mr. Robertson was a self-employed mechanic for 63 years retiring in 2005. He enjoyed coon hunting when he was younger. Later in life he participated in many truck pulls and he also enjoyed going to auctions or just taking car rides in the country. He is survived by his daughter, Bettie Robertson of New Franklin, two sons, Wm. Daniel Robertson of Boonville and David (Pam) Robertson of Fayette, six grandchildren, Scott, Jamie, Curtis, Andrew, Dustin and Makalah and one great granddaughter, Madalin. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by two sisters, Dorothy Willit and Jane Maupin. A funeral service will be 2 PM, Friday, December 12, 2014 at the Boonesboro Christian Church in Franklin with Rev. Roger McMurry officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
