Willy Westhues 1947 - 2015 Willy Westhues died on October 29, 2015. He was 67 years of age. William A. Westhues was born in Randolph County, MO to William J. and Marie (Schafer) Westhues on December 22, 1947. He graduated from Glasgow High School in 1966. Willy held numerous jobs in Glasgow. He worked at Hawthorn and Kellwood/American Recreation for a number of years. He later worked for the Road District and as manager of the city of Glasgow's water treatment facility. In 2001, Willy moved to Chillicothe, MO and worked for their water treatment plant for 12 years. In 2013, he moved back home to Glasgow. Willy truly loved the outdoors. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time on the Missouri River. He also liked to travel. Willy went on Caribbean and Alaskan cruises, and he also took a few hunting and fishing trips to Canada, Colorado and Minnesota. Willy is survived by his aunt, Pauline Schafer of Glasgow, and a large number of close cousins, relatives and friends. A memorial service for Mr. Westhues will be held at 11 AM, Tuesday, November 3, 2015 at Friemonth-Freese Funeral Home in Glasgow, with Rev. Harold Young officiating. Visitation will take place an hour before the service from 10-11 AM. A private burial will take place at a later date at Washington Cemetery in Glasgow.
