Yvonne Elizabeth Harvey, 87, of Glasgow, Missouri, entered the gates of Heaven on May 10, 2026. She was born on July 7, 1938, in Glasgow, Missouri, to Dorothy and Robert Dibble.

Yvonne attended school in Dalton, Missouri, where she graduated in 1956.  She later married Richard Harvey in the 1980s. Yvonne worked at Harthorne in Glasgow, Missouri, until her health declined.

Yvonne was a woman of deep faith, love, and kindness.  She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and was known for singing gospel songs to everyone she met.  Her joyful spirit and unwavering love for the Lord touched countless lives.  She was a devoted member of Lewis Chapel Church and Choir. 

She leaves to cherish her memory her daughter, Yvette Cowans of Columbia, Missouri; two grandchildren, Linsey Cowans and Shawntel Cowans of Glasgow, Missouri; six great-grandchildren, De’Shonne Cowans, Zy’Shonne Cowans, Jaquan Cowans, Za’Kiyah Cowans, Mi’Ajai Lewis-Cowans, and Dion Washington Jr.; one great-great-grandchild, Amiya Griffin; three sisters, Melissa Harris, Sondra Butner, and Debbie (Keith) Tatum; one brother, Johnny Dibble; step-children, Kayla (Tim) Gibson of Boonville, Missouri and Jimmy Gaines of Fayette, Missouri; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Yvonne was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Harvey; her daughter, Tina; three sisters; and two brothers.

Yvonne was truly one of God’s angels and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

A Homegoing Celebration will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 16, 2026, at Friemonth-Freese Funeral Home in Glasgow, Missouri, with Pastor Thomas Whitley officiating.  Visitation is an hour before the service starting at 10 a.m.  Interment will follow the service at Lincoln Cemetery in Glasgow.
